Purpose

• Review decisions made by the state legislators on the operation and funding of Workforce Development programs.
• Recommend changes to legislation as appropriate.

Responsibilities

• Advocate for Workforce Development with local, state and federal elected officials.
• Track state and federal Workforce Development legislation.
• Develop linkages with local, state and federal legislators.
• Annually develop a Workforce Development legislative platform.
• Coordinate with other groups who develop legislative agendas.
• Guide Board members on how to communicate Workforce issues to the legislature, state agencies,
  and Workforce Florida, Inc.
• Attend Treasure Coast Legislative Conference in Tallahassee and the NAWB Conference in
  Washington, DC in March 2004 to meet with legislators.
