| The Workforce Development Board of the Treasure Coast (WDB) is partnering with the St. Lucie County School District (SLCSD), Indian River Community College (IRCC) and Arbor E&T to enhance the newly opened Manufacturing / Pre-Engineering Academy at Treasure Coast High School (TCHS). The Manufacturing Academy will train the future manufacturing workforce in a laboratory setting using practical experience with the tools and the materials appropriate to the industry.

Through a Department of Labor Grant, and the partnerships between the WDB, SLCSD, IRCC and Arbor E&T, thirty students in the Manufacturing Academy at TCHS will have the opportunity to enroll in a Summer Manufacturing Institute where they will earn while they learn! Students during their summer vacation earn a salary while participating in a work experience with local manufacturing companies.
