HOW DO I DRESS FOR MY VISIT TO A CAREER CENTER?
• Business attire and attitude will enhance your job search.
• Workforce Solutions is a business just like any other business and expects the jobseekers, clients and customers to dress appropriately for business.
• Appropriate dress for business casual includes slacks and shirts tucked in, skirts and blouses or dresses and professional shoes.
• The Dress Code prohibits:
shorts
sweat pants
capris
flip-flops
tank tops
halter and spaghetti-strap tops
• At Workforce Solutions Centers, business representatives interview and screen potential new hire candidates. Coming dressed for an interview increases your chances of being interviewed.
• Appropriate conduct, appearance and attire contribute to good business ethics, social skills and attitudes.
HOW DO I QUALIFY FOR A JOB REFERRAL?
There are numerous ways we may assist you in qualifying for a job. To qualify we suggest:
• Enrolling in Work Certified Training
• Completing a Career Assessment
• Completing Job Preparation Workshops
• Completing the resume writer on Employ Florida

HOW DO I FIND OUT ABOUT TRAINING OPPORTUNITIES?
Workforce Solutions has many programs that can assist you with the cost of training to upgrade or attain new occupational skills. We want to help you find a suitable training program that prepares you for your career goal. To apply for any of the following programs please contact a Workforce Solutions staff member at your nearest Career Center.
On the Job Training
Individual Training Accounts (ITA)
Community Service Work Experience
Community Service Work Experience is offered to jobseekers on public assistance to assist the jobseekers in gaining supervised practical training in a work environment.
Occupational Skills Training in the Classroom
If eligible, Workforce Solutions may be able to help with the cost of tuition, books and other fees for occupational training at approved facilities. This assistance is subject to the availability of funding.
Pell Grant Application and Information
Students can apply for not only Pell Grants but all Federal, State and Institutional financial aid programs (except scholarships) by completing the free application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). www.fafsa.ed.gov
HOW DO I FILE FOR UNEMPLOYMENT

• Pick up an Unemployment Benefits book at your Workforce Solutions Career Center
• You may file an unemployment compensation claim at your place of business when you have been notified of a lay off.
